This experience will PUSH you to visually focus & pay close attention to the detail & movement given. This experience will also push you in how you hear the music being interpreted.
– 4 HOURS
This experience will PUSH you to learn choreography, staging & blocking in an intense 4hr time block.
– You will be given a lot of information that maybe permanent or could drastically change depending on choreographers vision and/or idea. Your job will be to quickly grab, retain, and/or adjust on the spot, just like in today’s industry.
-This experience will only allow WORKING CHOREOGRAPHERS in todays industry to teach because of the knowledge & on job experience; because it’s not just about the steps in today’s industry.
-All choreography given in this experience will be shot & filmed to give dancers the PUSH of performing choreography given for the camera
-Rehearsal attire- Most industry jobs/skeleton crews ask dancers to come in ALL BLACK ATTIRE so we will train like we are already booked!
Physically
– Each instructor/choreographer will give movement that will challenge & push you past your limits & outside of your comfort zone
Mentally
– The Instructor/choreographer will be giving a lot of information in 2hr-4hr time block; this is not limited to just choreography, but vocabulary, job experience, & life experience. It will be your job to grasp all information given & quickly apply
Listening
– Each instructor/choreographer will challenge you in how you hear music, helping to pick out certain accents/moments in the music, which helps dancers make better choices when it comes to movement
No Questions
– You will be pushed to pay close attention to movement & detail given by the instructor/choreographer
